Vu Dao | Founder, Outreach Specialist, Videography

People around me would naturally describe my style in one sentence: “wow I didn’t even know you were recording that!”

I grew up as a wall flower of sorts—always the quiet kid in the background—but constantly mentally & physically recollecting and capturing moments. I was always too busy enthused in what others were good at and talented in, so by the time I graduated High School, I had no idea what I was good at.

I was running circles in my mind the following years in college, and even upon getting my B.A. in Public Relations, I found myself still running. In school I practiced digital media creation, motion graphics, staging & lighting, as well as PR planning & managing. The media creation electives were just for fun. Every so often i’d take a mental break and watch old Youtube videos I used to make with my friends and family.

…and that’s when it hit me—to be specific what had hit me was the rather large investment that nearly totaled my wallet but…

I bought a camera kit.

—From then on I challenged myself, learned from other creatives, and grew from my own errors...lots and lots of errors. For a time I took on a full-time position of a media sales manager under one company while being an all-around videographer at another to push my limits.

Starting as a one-man production team, I learned and worked hard to take a role in all aspects of pre-production to post-production. I practiced many methods behind the screen and in the field, earned my own equipment, and strove to effectively project not only visions of mine, but the visions of those with unsung passions with a voice to be heard.

I truly appreciate all aspects of the production process and felt it best to be in the footsteps of all positions to truly understand what it takes to be a filmmaker.

“It takes one to know one,” right? The saying stands tall here.

Tomorrow is never promised; but one thing that is a constant is that I will always be practicing, practicing, practicing.

I have an intense appreciation of all passions and would use everything at my disposal to encapsulate your event in its most natural state. My wish is to create a piece of art that ultimately stands the test of time—in the years to come it will be your photos & videos that you look back on to with a smile and a laugh.

Ben Jungjareon | Cinematography, Drone Operation

A native of Thailand, my interest in the art of filmmaking began as a young child.

Growing up in the 80’s, I can remember my brother and sisters watching American movies whenever they were available on video. We watched E.T. for the first time on a 19″ tube TV and the best VCR you can buy in Thailand circa 1985. Immediately my brother and I went looking for an empty cardboard box so we can make an imaginary Panavision camera. I was sold. I knew I wanted to use my creativity and imagination to capture stories through the lens of a camera.

My family moved to the US when I was eight years old and I began to discover my artistic talents in photography, painting and drawing. As I became older, I pursued training in video production, post production and graphic design at the Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC) in San Francisco. I am a proficient user of Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Photo Shop and Adobe Illustrator.

My webpage provides samples of my freelance work and experience on a variety of creative projects.

Agnessa Spichka | Videography, Narrative-Specialist

With a B.A. in Psychology, and a lifelong predisposition to art and creativity, I take pride in creatively adapting my work to reflect the individuality of others, and doing so with a hint of a cryptic larger-than-life-ness. I love the very nature that makes each one of us and our experiences unique. When it comes to showing the world who you are and what you do, it is your distinct voice that we want to bring to the table, and we want to do that in a way that leaves others wanting to know more.

A little about me:

In 2018, I left the comfort and security of my full-time job to explore my love for videography. It was a scary thing to do, but it is a decision I’m glad I made. It made me realize how much power I have over my life, and as George Eliot is credited to saying, “it’s never too late to be what you might’ve been.”

I love what I do. I am continually inspired by those who pursue the work they love, and as I build my business and help others build theirs, I hope that one day I can be an inspiration for others as well.

I enjoy watching documentaries and reading about educational topics that inspire me. I am passionate about Mental Health, Small Business, and Renewable Technology. I can't bring myself to stop learning and growing as a person. I'm loving this new journey and I'm excited to work together with like-minded individuals to make this world a better place.

Chhorvy Om | Photography, Graphic Design, Illustration

I'm a visual artist, graphic designer, and art educator. I specialize in digital and watercolor art. I enjoy creating stationery designs, character designs, portraits and whimsical illustrations. In 2011, I begin to explore the realm of photography which connected well with my love for traveling. I’m always ready for an adventure whether on road trips or abroad!

My art journey began with handmade paper dolls and coloring books. When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I thought I was a pretty skillful hair stylists as I cut and trim my Barbie dolls’ hair. But of course, I end up cutting more than I intended, and well… bald spots could be stylish right??? Frustrated that I kept “styling” my dolls, my parents decided to entrust me with paper doll sets instead. I then learn to draw my own characters and create background stories for each of them.

Once I started school, my inspirations derived from books and technology which lead me to pursuing a career of illustration and graphic design. I used art as visuals for learning and teaching. For me, art was a form of entertainment that developed into a valuable communication tool that connected me with family, friends, and the world.

In May 2012, I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a B. A. in Art Studio and continued to complete the Teaching Credentials Program for my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art in January 2016 at the same university. I taught high school grades 9-12 Digital Art/Graphic design and AP Photography. Most importantly, I believe in life long learning and will continue to discover and improve my skills through self-learning and formal classes whenever possible!
